Imagine dating the way we hire.

Imagine dating the way we hire.

You sit down for dinner and hand over a two-page document.

Three long-term relationships.
Fluent in compromise.
Certified in conflict resolution.
References available from two exes.
Key achievement: successfully managed a long-distance relationship for 18 months.

Your date would be gone before the starter.

Because in love, we know the past says very little about the future. What matters is chemistry, values, curiosity, and what you could build together.

But when we hire, we do the opposite. We ask people to display their whole history, every diploma, every certificate, every title, for a role that will use maybe a fraction of it.

And here’s the irony. On a first date we hide our baggage. On a CV we laminate it and call it achievements.

Yes, a company needs some proof that someone can do the job. But maybe it’s time to stop auditing candidates and start getting to know them. Real conversations, trial projects, talking about values and potential.

So, would you hire the way you date? Or date the way you hire?
