BLACK & WHITE
please don't follow.
Everyone already has this photograph. The spot is marked. The angle is agreed on. The light has a posting schedule. You don't find it — you queue for it, phone out before your eyes have even arrived.
This series is what's left when you refuse the coordinates.
Six weeks between Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama, walking instead of navigating, looking instead of confirming.
Black and white because color is the first thing people copy
and the last thing they actually see. What remains is structure, shadow, the accident of a stranger crossing exactly the wrong patch of light at exactly the right second, none of it repeatable, none of it geotagged, none of it waiting for you.
To follow is to arrive somewhere already consumed. To look is to arrive nowhere at all, and find something anyway.
Please don't follow. Watch.
